Free Pair Rose Bowl Tickets If You Inspire Me the Most!!

This college bowl game season marks my first one as a centenarian!  I have a a pair of tickets to The Rose Bowl on January 1, 2013, featuring the Wisconsin Badgers playing against the Stanford Cardinal.  Although I’d like to attend, I’m afraid I can’t see (or hear) too well from the stadium seats.  Because I’ll be watching from the comfort of my home, I’ve decided to launch a contest effective 12:01 a.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012 (all times refer to Pacific Standard Time) and ending 11:59 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012.  The winner will be announced on my blog on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at noon.  The winner will receive his/her free pair of tickets in person on Monday, January 31, 2012, at a time and location in the downtown Los Angeles area to be revealed to the winner.

I look forward to being inspired by your stories of giving.

This prize is non-transferable and must be claimed in person by the winner at the designated time and place I select.  Photo identification will be required.  All contestants must be at least 18 years of age as of December 23, 2012.  Every good faith effort will be made to hand-deliver the tickets to the winner, but in the event of circumstances that may arise beyond anyone’s reasonable control, all participants agree to waive any legal complaints against me, my blog, and Lisa and her website.  If, for any reason, the tickets are unclaimed on January 31, 2012, they will be donated to charity.

To enter, email me (in 250 words or less) at lisaberryb@soulsherpa.net (Lisa will read all emails to me since I’m legally blind) by the Friday deadline.  The winner of the tickets will be the person who inspires me the most by recounting what actions he/she took in 2012 to assist any senior citizen or ill person of any age who found themselves needing a medical advocate, a Soul Sherpa.  Include your full name, address, email address and cell number.

The author of the winning essay will be responsible for any costs incurred outside of the pair of game tickets (such as travel, parking, meals, lodging.)  The winner also agrees to have his/her name and likeness published on my blog, as well as sign a release form when receiving the tickets.

I know how much I’ve benefited by having the constant support of a qualified friend to look out for my interests as I’ve aged, especially after suffering my November 2011 stroke and losing my beloved wife six weeks later from Alzheimer’s.  Thankfully, I’ve recovered and saved the healthcare system ample funds at the same time.  The sooner we all learn an educated and devoted healthcare advocate is one of our best resources for successfully and efficiently addressing aging and illness issues, the quicker our healthcare crisis will begin to improve in a significant way.

So inspire me with your stories.  I want the truth, the whole truth, and nothing else.  The honor system is part of this contest.  I’m 100 years old and have seen it all, so don’t disappoint me by ruining the spirit of goodness of this contest.  Show me the best part of who you are and make me smile.  I’ll send you to The 2013 Rose Bowl in return!
